Configure DNS on iPhone (iOS)

Change DNS servers on your iPhone or iPad with iOS. Simple process that will improve your browsing speed and security.

Open WiFi Settings

Go to Settings > WiFi and tap the info icon next to your connected network.

Configure DNS

Scroll down and tap "Configure DNS".

Change to Manual

Select "Manual" instead of "Automatic".

Add DNS Servers

Remove existing DNS entries and add new ones by tapping "Add Server": 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8. Tap "Save".

Additional Tips

  • DNS changes only apply to the current WiFi network
  • For cellular DNS, you need a configuration profile or an app like 1.1.1.1
  • Manually configured DNS persists when reconnecting to the same network
