Configure DNS on Android

Configure custom DNS on your Android device. Compatible with Android 9 (Pie) and later versions, including the Private DNS option.

WiFi Settings

Go to Settings > WiFi and long press your connected WiFi network.

Modify Network

Select "Modify network" or "Manage network settings".

Advanced Options

Tap "Advanced options" and change "IP settings" to "Static".

Configure DNS

In the DNS fields, enter: DNS 1: 1.1.1.1, DNS 2: 8.8.8.8. Save changes.

Additional Tips

  • Android 9+ supports Private DNS (DoT): go to Settings > Network > Private DNS
  • For per-WiFi network changes, use the static IP manual method
  • Some manufacturer skins may change the setting location
